Founder & CEO

Visionary behind bCom — securing Africa's digital future.

History of the Founder: Busema E. John

Busema's path into technology was not born from privilege, but from pain, resilience, and an unshakable belief that Africa deserves digital trust.

From his earliest years, computer studies fascinated him — a window into a world of possibility. But in 2021, tragedy struck: his Instagram account, with over 2,000 followers, was hacked by Nigerian cybercriminals. For a young man who had built his identity and community online, it felt like losing a part of himself. That wound became the spark — a question burned inside him: "How are these things happening, and how can we fight back?"

Two years later, in 2023, the pain deepened. He was scammed out of TZS 1,000,000 by a fraudulent loan company masquerading under the name of a public leader. It was not just money lost — it was trust shattered. He reported the crime to the central police station in Dar es Salaam, but no help came. The silence of the system revealed a harsh truth: ordinary people were defenseless in the digital world.

Instead of surrendering, Busema turned grief into determination. He realized that cybersecurity knowledge must be brought to the people. With the guidance of his computer teacher, he built his first website — zhoosh.site. Against all odds, it earned him over TZS 300,000 from subscribers. That small victory was more than income; it was proof that connection, knowledge, and innovation could change lives.

Balancing university studies, he worked part-time at St. Joseph Cathedral High School in Dar es Salaam and Efforts Academy in Bagamoyo, teaching mathematics and physics. Yet even as he taught, he felt the pull of something greater. He discovered online platforms like GeeksforGeeks, Cisco Networking Academy, and Udemy — free courses that opened doors to certifications and skills. Nights were spent learning, days were spent teaching, and weekends were spent dreaming.

By the end of 2024, the dream crystallized: a company that would not just protect, but empower. In March 2025, after a year of design and relentless planning, bCom was born. Built on WiFi as its anchor, with SaaS pillars like ERP, EduManage, POS, and Analytics, it was more than a business — it was a mission.

The journey was not easy. He quit his part-time jobs, sacrificing financial security to invest fully in bCom. On February 4, he registered the company formally, securing its legal foundation. He returned to the schools and organizations he once worked for, not as a teacher, but as a builder — developing systems, platforms, and digital solutions that would serve communities.

Today, bCom stands as a beacon: a company forged in tragedy, strengthened by resilience, and driven by vision. From being hacked and scammed, to building a platform that could generate over TZS 1,000,000 per month, Busema's story is proof that pain can be transformed into purpose.

His journey is not just about one man. It is about Africa rising in the digital age. It is about turning sorrow into strength, and setbacks into stepping stones. It is about showing the world that from Dar es Salaam, innovation can be born that empowers an entire continent.

bCom for Africa. bCom for the World.
